Our Story:

• In 1978, Ronnie Scott, Director of Maintenance for a local manufacturing facility, ventured out to start his own electrical contractor and maintenance company known as West Tennessee Electrical Contracting. In 1980, he merged with Dorris Evans, owner of Evans Electrical Company, thus forming E & W Electric Company.
  
  Over the next 10 years, E & W specialized in small commercial construction and industrial controls and automation. The company grew incrementally to revenues approaching $1 million. In 1990, Chris Scott, current Vice President / COO, joined the firm as engineer/project manager/estimator. Over the next decade, E & W grew 10% to 15% per year, still specializing in commercial and industrial construction and maintenance. Being located in rural West Tennessee, with few specialty contractors to turn to, we began to focus on a more diverse range of solutions. We began to excel in alarm, communications, power and control solutions. Over the next decade, we began turning to more complex solutions and many projects with time constraints and management challenges. Our completed projects include Wal-Mart Supercenters, Lowe’s Home Improvement Centers, Schools, Hospitals & Medical Facilities, Nursing Homes, Printing Facilities, Marinas, as well as power and control systems in many vertical markets.
  
  Having grown over 400% since our beginning, we now have divisions for Commercial Construction, Industrial Maintenance & Controls, Communication Systems and Green Energy Solutions. We have thousands of satisfied customers and are known all over the southeast as a premier power, control, communication and solutions provider. In 2008, we added power quality and conservation to our list of services.
  
  Today, much of our growth and development is contributed to a systemic approach to business and project management. Our team uses a system of innovation to develop custom solutions for our clients. In order to provide consistent top quality installations, we have implemented an in-house federal approved apprenticeship training program. Our team members have developed a culture of focusing on solutions to problems of our clients. Many of our clients chose to partner with E & W because of our one source solution for power, control, communications and green energy solutions.
